New, customizable V-Moves and Critical Arts reportedly discovered for Street Fighter 5 through data mining

X-Kira says a second V-Trigger, V-Skill, V-Reversal, and Critical Art might be a real thing

Things just got interesting, folks. Well-known FGC data miner X-Kira has potentially discovered something in Street Fighter 5 that people have been clamoring about.

According to his latest report, additional V-Moves and Critical Arts might be a real thing. X-Kira shows filenames found in the game that read “ver = 2” for V-Skill, V-Trigger, V-Reversal, and Critical Art.

If this turns out to be true, this means that we could be seeing a second move for each character on the roster that players will likely be able to choose from before a match. This is a concept we’ve seen in the past with games such as Street Fighter 3 Third Strike where you can choose your super or Ultra Street Fighter 4’s Ultra Combo (and Ultra Combo Double) select.

On top of this, X-Kira claims that V-Moves and Critical Arts will be customizable. To what extent, we are currently unsure, but from the example provided it looks as though players might be able to select the default, ver 2, or a combination of both (Ultra Combo Double comes to mind yet again).

One of the main additions fans want to see made to Street Fighter 5 is the expansion of the V-System. If what X-Kira stumbled upon comes to pass, the game will grow exponentially in its possibilities for players.

Along with this report comes a video that demonstrates the default moves and shows some of the newly discovered filenames. Check it out below and let us know what you think about all of this in the comments.

Obviously, this is not a confirmation that these additions are being made to the game. However, X-Kira has found several things in the past that eventually came to fruition, so take that as you will.
