Following last week’s Kingdom Hearts 3 new trailer, which confirmed the 2018 release window for the game, Square Enix released a few new screenshots. A few hours ago, the Japanese branch of the publisher released a few more screenshots showcasing the game’s beautiful graphics and presentation.
The new Kingdom Hearts 3 screenshots, which can be checked out below, focus on the recently revealed Toy Story world as well as on characters. Missed Maleficient, Pete and Hades? Now you won’t anymore, as the three villains are among the showcased characters.
Earlier this week, Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura talked about the game’s delay, revealing that the switch to Unreal Engine 4 is what caused the delay. Additionally, he revealed that the team is preparing for DLC development, even though nothing is planned at the moment.
Nothing is set in stone, and I’m afraid we can’t go into details, but I have told the team: Just be prepared to be able to accommodate for something like that. We can’t suddenly develop a system where we’re accommodating for downloadable content. So it’s not confirming or denying either way, but just so that the development team will be prepared, I have informed them of making the preparations.
Kingdom Hearts 3 launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime next year.
